When reading Turkish words, be sure to pronounce all the letters.
- Letters b, d, f, k, l, m, n, p, t, v, y and z are pronounced as in English
- Ç or ç is pronounced like "ch" in "church"
- Ş or ş is pronounced like "shh" in "ship"
- I or ı (i without the dot on top) is pronounced like the "short i" in "cousin"
- Ö or ö is pronounced like "short e" in "early"
- Ü or ü is pronounced like "eu" in "dew"
- Ğ or ğ is not pronounced, but it's used to lengthen preceding vowel
