Gallipoli and Troy tour
Day 1 Friday — ARRIVE Istanbul
Arrive at Istanbul Airport. Meet our stuff and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner at guests' expense.
Day 2 Saturday — Istanbul
After breakfast at the hotel, a full-day excursion in Istanbul including the Hagia Sophia Church with its Byzantine mosaics; the Blue Mosque famous for its interior tiles; the Byzantine Hippodrome where horses and chariots raced once upon a time; Topkapi Palace, the residence of the Ottoman Sultans for about 400 years; and finally the Grand Bazaar with its more than 3,000 shops. Stay at the hotel in Istanbul. (B) You can participate an optional dinner show tonight.
Day 3 Sunday — Istanbul / Gallipoli / Canakkale
After breakfast, early departure for Gallipoli Peninsula (about 4,5 hours driving) to visit World War I battlefields, cemetaries and memorials; Anzac Cove, Nek, Conk Bair, Lone Pine, 57th regiment, and the war museum. Take a ferry accross the Dardanelles Strait for Canakkale city. Overnight. (B-D)
Day 4 — Canakkale / Troy / Istanbul
Breakfast at hotel and early departure to visit the legendary Troy, city of Priam and Hector, including a reconstructed wooden horse. After the visit, transfer back to Istanbul (about 5,5 hours). End of the services. (B)
It is possible to combine this tour with Cappadocia Mini Package or Izmir Mini Package, or extend your stay in Istanbul.

This tour is a Guaranteed Departure Tour run from Istanbul on certain dates between April - October 2007 only, unfortunately it's not operative in 2008. Arrival at Istanbul can be arranged for another day of the week as well (we can arrange extra nights in Istanbul for you) but it's important that clients depart for Gallipoli on a Sunday morning to join the group. Hagia Sophia is closed on Mondays, Topkapi Palace on Tuesdays, Grand Bazaar on Sundays & Turkish public and religious holidays. On these specific days they'll be substituted with other museums/sites depending on the convenience of the program and schedule. Order of the visits may be changed for the convenience of the tour. Depending on the seasonal occupancies Canakkale stay may be swapped to Guzelyali town. Istanbul - Canakkale track is a long drive.
